• Local Storage Only: Your settings (volume level, extreme boost toggle, enabled/disabled state) are stored locally in Chrome's storage API and never leave your browser.
• No Analytics: We do not include any analytics or tracking code.
• No Server Communication: The extension does not communicate with any external servers.

Permissions

Simple Volume Booster requires several permissions to function properly:

• activeTab: Necessary to access and modify audio elements on the current webpage.
• storage: Required to save your volume preferences locally between browser sessions.
• Host Permission (\<all_urls\>): Needed to modify audio on any website you visit when the extension is enabled.

How We Modify Websites

When enabled, Simple Volume Booster:

• Injects code to intercept audio playback
• Uses Web Audio API to boost volume levels
• Applies compression to reduce distortion at high volumes
